On August 8th, the opening ceremony of the German Center of Bundesverband Mittelstandische Wirtschaft (BVMW) was successfully held in Heping Bay. More than 100 people, including representatives from Shenyang Municipal Government, Liaoning Provincial Department of Commerce, German Consulate General in Shenyang, BVMW, BMW China, and foreign-funded enterprises in Shenyang, participated in this event. This event marks the official operation of the first German center of BVMW in China. Heping Bay will gather a large number of high-quality resources such as German enterprises, institutions, and universities, promoting the high-quality development of industries such as cross-border commerce, headquarters based economy, and settlement centers, and advancing business, technology, academic, and cultural exchanges between China and Germany.

In his speech, Consul General of the German Consulate General in Shenyang, Hendrik Barkeling stated that for many years, strong industrial heritage, excellent talents, and strong support from governments at all levels had attracted a large number of German SMEs to settle in Shenyang. The BVMW German Center will provide end-to-end services for BVMW member companies, providing comprehensive support for personnel training, investment, development, and success in China, creating the "first stop" for German companies to enter Northeast China, and providing assistance for more companies to come.

BVMW China representative Wang Yang introduced the excellent international atmosphere and ecological environment of Heping Bay, and expressed the intention to actively organize various economic and cultural exchange activities to further create an international atmosphere. He stated that the Heping District would leverage the resource advantages of BVMW Germany Center to jointly organize international exchange activities such as the China Germany SME conferences and forums, economic and cultural exchange conferences, and the China Germany Cooperation Summit Forum, to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as education and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and serve as  a bridge for more international cooperation.

BVMW is the largest and most international business federation in Germany, with over 900,000 member companies,  300 of  which are hidden champions. With 1.25 million member companies in the European Union, BVMW has become the largest business force for SMEs in Germany and even Europe. The operation of BVMW Germany will connect the industries of China and Germany, enhancing the soft environment for industrial development, providing significant opportunities for the aggregation of international institutions in the German speaking region and cultivate an international industrial ecosystem, and jointly promoting diversified industrial cooperation between Shenyang and Germany.
