The 2020 spring investment promotion conference and project signing ceremony of the Shenfu Reform and Innovation Demonstration Zone ("Shenfu New Zone") was held in Shenyang, capital of Northeast China's Liaoning province on March 25. The conference integrated the ways of online and offline for domestic and overseas promotion and contract signing, aiming to achieve a good start in investment attraction in the first quarter.

Shenfu New Zone, located between the cities of Shenyang and Fushun, was established in 2017 to revitalize the old industrial bases in Northeast China. In September 2018, it was approved for upgrading as a reform and innovation demonstration zone by the State Council.

The management committee of Shenfu New Zone used the on-site promotion to introduce the zone's characteristics, advantages and latest construction situation. It promoted the zone's investment environment, policies and dominant projects and publicized its communications and cooperation with famous domestic and overseas enterprises.

More than 60 enterprises from home and abroad attended the conference. Representatives gave online and offline speeches, stating their opinions based on their respective fields.

The 12 projects signed at the conference had gross investment of 66.6 billion yuan ($9.4 billion) and are connected to digital economy, life health, information technology application and equipment, artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, new materials and modern services.
