A total of 1,389 out of Shenyang’s 1,453 industrial enterprises above a designated size – with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.8 million) or more -- had resumed work as of Feb 25, with the work resumption rate reaching 95.6 percent, according to local officials of the capital city of Northeast China’s Liaoning province.
The Shenyang municipal government issued 72 measures for novel coronavirus prevention and control -- covering business procedures, prevention of virus transmission and control information, emergency measures, protective facilities and management -- to guide businesses returning to production.
The government also launched 15 specific measures -- involving virus prevention materials, employment, medical services, children's education and administrative approval services, among others -- to help enterprises solve the materials supply and logistics problems in the process of returning to work.
Officials said these aim to minimize the adverse effects of the virus on business operations and industrial development.
