Shenfu New Zone in Northeast China's Liaoning province signed five new projects on March 23, bringing the total number of projects signed in the zone in 2021 to 24.
The projects are in the fields of industrial internet, smart manufacturing, medical care, digital economy, life and health and modern services.
The agreed investment amount for these 24 newly signed projects totals 25.6 billion yuan ($3.84 billion).
Among the 24 projects are four projects in the digital economy sector, with an agreed investment amount of 1.43 billion yuan, and one project in the information technology application and equipment industry, with an agreed investment amount of 333 million yuan.
A total of 10 projects in the smart manufacturing industry have an agreed investment amount of 1.29 billion yuan.
There are also two life and health industry projects and seven modern service industry projects, which have investments of 6.15 billion yuan and 16.4 billion yuan, respectively.
In terms of investment scale, Shenfu New Zone has one project with an investment of more than 10 billion yuan, one project with an investment of 5 billion to 10 billion yuan, one project of 2 billion to 5 billion yuan, and three projects of 1 billion to 2 billion yuan.
There are also 12 investment projects with an investment volume between 100 million yuan and 1 billion yuan each, and six investment projects with an investment below 100 million yuan each.

Siemens will use its professional knowledge and innovative experience in the industrial internet to work with the Shenfu New Zone to establish a regional benchmark for digital transformation and help build a "digital Liaoning," Zhu added.
