Shenyang-Frankfurt route,

the NE China's

first direct air route to Germany,

made its maiden flight on April 25.

On the afternoon of April 24, the northern branch of China Southern Airlines held the inaugural ceremony of the Shenyang-Frankfurt route at the Shenyang Taoxian International Airport. On April 25, the Shenyang-Frankfurt route of China Southern Airlines made its maiden flight. This is the first regular direct passenger route to Germany opened by domestic airlines in NE China.

The Shenyang-Frankfurt route is serviced by Airbus A350-900 wide-body aircraft. The flight departs from Shenyang at 01:30 and arrives in Frankfurt at 12:10 on Thursdays (Beijing Time); the return flight departs from Frankfurt at 20:15 on Thursdays and arrives in Shenyang at 6:15 Fridays (Beijing Time). The flight time is about 11 hours, which is about 5 hours shorter than that of the transit routes.

At present, Shenyang Taoxian International Airport has 13 international and regional passenger routes to major cities in the ROK, Japan, the DPRK, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Russia, Germany and other countries. Moreover, the airport also has international cargo routes such as Shenyang-Frankfurt, Shenyang-Greenville and Shenyang-Los Angeles.
