Zhang Lei, Member of Standing Committee of CPC Liaoning Provincial Committee and Secretary of Shenyang Municipal Party Committee met with Kwon Goohoon, Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Northern Economic Cooperation and the delegation on August 25. Municipal leader Li Songlin, Li Qiang, and Lim Byung-Jin, Consul General of South Korean Consulate General in Shenyang attended the meeting. 

Zhang Lei extended warm welcome to the re-visit of Kwon Goohoon. He said that Shenyang's development momentum showed positive changes at present. Shenyang has identified the direction, ideas and measures for further development, proposed to lead high-quality development through opening-up and innovation, and made cooperation with Republic of Korea a priority in expanding the opening-up. After the last pleasant exchange, both sides have preliminarily determined the direction of cooperation in the next step. On this basis, the city would further refine and improve cooperation related issues, intensify cooperation on the development of the automobile industry and other aspects, and push the cooperation to a deeper level, in a wider range and in a wider scope. Shenyang would continue to provide quality services and create favorable conditions for the development and expansion of the Korean enterprises in Shenyang. 

Kwon Goohoon said that Shenyang had a strong industrial foundation, an optimized business environment and a broad space for cooperation with South Korea. They would further develop and tap the cooperation resources of both sides, continuously deepen the exchanges and cooperation with Shenyang, and strive to produce more fruitful cooperation results.
