Shenyang Mayor Jiang Youwei met with Dr. Clemens von Goetze, Germany's ambassador to China and the delegation on June 26. 

Jiang Youwei welcomed Clemens von Goetze and his delegation and introduced the economic and social development of Shenyang, especially the positive achievements of Shenyang's cooperation with German enterprises, universities and research institutes. Jiang Youwei said that in recent years, the city has earnestly implemented the guiding principles from General Secretary Xi Jinping's speeches at the symposium on in-depth promotion of the Northeast revitalization and his inspection tour in Liaoning, deepened reform, and expanded opening up. The environment and quality of development is improving and the development momentum is strengthening. It shows a good development trend. Shenyang municipal party committee and the government attach great importance to the cooperation with Germany in various aspects. The cooperation field is constantly expanding and the level of cooperation is constantly improving. The establishment of China-Germany (Shenyang) Innovation Committee has provided a good platform for further cooperation. Jiang Youwei hoped that Ambassador Clemens von Goetze would pay more attention to Shenyang and promote the cooperation between Shenyang and Germany in the fields of industry, culture, scientific research and education to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results. 

Ambassador Clemens von Goetze thanked Shenyang for creating a good environment for German enterprises to develop in Shenyang and providing convenient conditions for the Germans to live and work in Shenyang. He spoke highly of the good development of German enterprises in Shenyang. He hoped that both sides will continue to expand exchanges and cooperation, especially deepen the friendly cooperation between Shenyang and Dusseldorf, the sister city of Shenyang in Germany, and realize cooperative development, cooperative innovation, and win-win cooperation. 

Matthias Biermann, Consul-general of German Consulate in Shenyang and Li Songlin, member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor of Shenyang also attended the meeting.
