On December 7, Liu Zhenning, Deputy Secretary-General of Shenyang People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (Shenyang PAFFC) paid a visit to Australia International Trade Association & Associates (AITA & Associates) and the American Chamber of Commerce in the People’s Republic of China (AmCham China) in Beijing for meetings on deepening exchanges and cooperation in various sectors between Shenyang and the US and Australia.

Deputy Secretary-General Liu Zhenning mentioned during his meeting with Michael Guo, CEO of AITA & Associates that the visit by Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to China brings new opportunities for cooperation between Shenyang and Australia. Shenyang PAFFC is committed to developing people-to-people friendly exchanges with foreign countries and is looking forward to cooperating with Australia in sectors such as economy and trade, people-to-people exchanges and friendship cities. Michael Guo said that AITA & Associates will support Shenyang PAFFC in cooperating with sub-national governments, councils and enterprises of Australia in conducting exchanges in multiple areas such as business projects, conference and exhibition as well as education. 

During meeting between Liu Zhenning and Zhang Weijia, Deputy Director of Department of Government Affairs and Policies of AmCham China, both sides agreed that the recently held China-US Presidential Meeting has introduced better opportunities for people-to-people exchanges and cooperation in various sectors between Shenyang and the US. President Xi Jinping pointed out that the hope and foundation of China-US relations lie in the people, the future lies with the youths and the vitality comes from the subnational level, which has set the direction for people-to-people friendly exchanges between China and the US. In 2024, Shenyang PAFFC and AmCham China will focus on key industries, and promote industrial cooperation in sectors such as medical care and manufacturing as well as exchanges in sectors such as culture and tourism with the support of member companies and industry committees of AmCham China.
