In order to further strengthen friendly exchanges and cooperation between Shenyang and ROK in the fields of culture, tourism, art, education and youth, at the invitation of Shenyang People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign countries (Shenyang PAFFC）, Ms Lee Hyunjoo, President of ROK International Center for Human Resources Development and her delegation visited Shenyang from January 22nd to 24th. They paid visits to Shenyang PAFFC，Shenyang International Economic and Cultural Development Promotion Association (SIECDPA), the Headquarters Base of ROK Industrial Park in Liaoning Province (Shenfu Demonstration Zone), Shengjing Grand Theater and the Old Beishi Area.

Mr. Liu Zhenning, Deputy Secretary General of Shenyang PAFFC met with President Lee Hyunjoo and her delegation. He stated that Shenyang PAFFC is willing to work together with ROK civil friendly organizations to jointly organize a series of themed friendly exchange activities in 2024, and contribute civil strength to the high-quality development of sister cities exchanges between China and ROK. Lee Hyunjoo said that she would actively promote the visit of the Mayor's delegation of Daejeon City to Shenyang and hold the "Sister City Mayors' Day" event, deepening exchanges and cooperation between the two cities in more fields such as economy, trade, culture, and youth.

During the visit to Shenyang International Economic and Cultural Development Promotion Association, President Lee Hyunjoo and her delegation had a discussion with Vice President of SIECDPA Mr. Kan Guoping and other relevant leaders. Mr. Li Hui, director of Xuanhe Art Museum under SIECDPA, showcased his talents on calligraphy，and presented ROK guests with works of the Chinese character “Fu”(good fortune) for the Spring Festival of the Dragon Year.

During the visit to the Headquarters Base of ROK Industrial Park in Liaoning Province (Shenfu Demonstration Zone), the person in charge introduced the development situation and related policies of the industrial park, hoping that the ROK International Center for Human Resources Development would assist in promoting the industrial park and attracting more ROK enterprises to settle in the park.

President Lee Hyunjoo and her delegation also visited Shengjing Grand Theater and the Old Beishi Area, conducting on-site inspections of the development of cultural and tourism venues and market in Shenyang. The prosperity of culture and tourism in winter of Shenyang and the warm hospitality of Shenyang people left a deep impression on President Lee Hyunjoo and her delegation.

ROK International Center for Human Resources Development is a non-profit civil organization registered and established in Daejeon City, ROK in 2010. Its main business includes developing humanities education courses to improve public literacy, providing student psychological counseling, conducting cultural exchanges with domestic and foreign institutions, and teaching Korean to the foreign nationals and cultural education. Since 2017, exchanges have been carried out in areas such as youth, humanities, and healthcare with Shenyang, Ben Tre  Province in Vietnam, Shimane Prefecture in Japan, and Northwest America.
