On April 12th, Chen Shuangwei, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Municipal Government, held a meeting with Emmanuel Loriot, Consul General of the French Consulate General in Shenyang, and Yang Jun, Assistant President and Government Relations Manager of Michelin Group in China, to have in-depth discussion on the construction of China France cultural community and organizing the "Shenyang Michelin Food Festival".

Chen Shuangwei stated that this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France. Recently, Presidents of the two countries exchanged congratulatory messages and unanimously expressed their willingness to take the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to build a more solid and dynamic comprehensive strategic partnership. Under their strategic guidance, China and France have witnessed enhanced economic and trade cooperation, stable development of bilateral trade, and active investment cooperation. Currently, Shenyang is fully implementing the three-year action plan for comprehensive revitalization and new breakthroughs, and it is about the time for comprehensive revitalization of Shenyang with sound momentum and promised future. He hoped that the French Consulate General in Shenyang and Michelin Group can actively promote the construction of China France cultural community through Michelin Food Festival and other activities, and make Shenyang a benchmark city for cooperation with France.

Emmanuel Loriot stated that 2024 is the Year of Culture and Tourism between China and France, and the Olympics Games and Paralympic Games will also be held this year. The French Consulate General in Shenyang has planned a variety of exchange events in fields such as culture, sports, and art. The French Consulate General in Shenyang is willing to work with relevant departments in Shenyang to continuously deepen exchanges and cooperation in multiple fields between France and Shenyang, and celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France.

Yang Jun stated that Michelin Group would take the opportunity of hosting the "Shenyang Michelin Food Festival", leverage Shenyang's cultural and regional advantages, promote exchange and cooperation between Shenyang catering enterprises and Michelin restaurants, and promote the branding, industrial, and standard development of Shenyang's catering industry.

Officials from the Municipal Commerce Bureau, Shenhe District Government, and Hong Kong Xinhua Group attended the meeting.
