On May 7, Om Romny, Secretary of State of MoEYS of Cambodia, led a delegation to visit Shenyang and signed the "Belt and Road" vocational education cooperation project with Shenyang Polytechnic College. Li Gang, Vice Mayor of Shenyang Municipal Government, and Cao Lan, Deputy Director of the Provincial Department of Education, attended the signing ceremony. Shenyang Polytechnic College signed the "Modern Architecture · Mozi Workshop" project cooperation agreement and the "Belt and Road" vocational education cooperation agreement with Vocational Orientation Department of MoEYS of Cambodia and Kampong Speu Institute of Technology. Shenyang Polytechnic College conferred the title of "Cambodia Teaching Service Base" for Kampong Speu Institute of Technology to strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the field of vocational education between the two sides.

Li Gang said in his speech that the cooperation project signed this time is an important measure for Shenyang to deeply integrate into the "Belt and Road Initiative"(BRI) and an important part of deepening international exchanges and cooperation in Shenyang vocational education. As an important node city of BRI and one of the first batch of national pilot cities, as well as the first city in northeast China for integration of industry and education, Shenyang will give full play the fundamental and overall role of vocational education in economic and social development. Relying on this cooperation project, Shenyang will continue to strengthen cooperation with universities and enterprises in Cambodia and other BRI countries and regions to promote high-quality development of vocational education.

Cao Lan stated that the "Modern Architecture·Mozi Workshop" project is a powerful exploration and practice to build a high-quality, high-level, and high standard vocational education "going global model". As a brand of "the Belt and Road" vocational education, we hope that "Mozi Workshop" will continue to promote open exchanges and cooperation in vocational education, better serve international production capacity cooperation, and promote high-quality development of BRI.

Om Romny shared the current situation and development prospects of vocational education in Cambodia, emphasized the important role of technical skills training in local economic and social development, showed the great potential and bright prospects of cooperation between China and Cambodia in the field of vocational education, and expressed heartfelt thanks to the Shenyang Municipal People's Government, Liaoning Provincial Department of Education, as well as the Foreign Affairs Office of Shenyang Municipal Government and Shenyang Polytechnic College for their strong support. He hoped that the friendship between China and Cambodia would last forever.

The delegation visited the Sino-German College, Intelligent Manufacturing Center, Information Engineering College, Digital Building Technology Simulation Training Center, and Kedi Mei Floor Industry Research Institute of Shenyang Polytechnic College, and learned in detail about the construction of the school base, the integration of industry and education, and the "dual education system" talent training model. They fully affirmed and highly praised the campus environment, educational philosophy, and the style of teachers and students of the school, and hoped to bring the good practices back to Cambodia to achieve interconnection, mutual learning, and win-win development of vocational education between the two countries.
