Under the guidance of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and co-organized by the provincial and municipal Foreign Affairs Offices, the publicity event, with the theme of "Consular Protection Accompanies You & Services Extended to the Community Level", aims to strengthen preventive consular protection work and further improve the safety prevention capability of overseas enterprises, projects and personnel in Liaoning Province and Shenyang City. The launching ceremony of the event was held in Shenyang Normal University on July 12. Tong Xuejun, Deputy Director of the Department of Consular Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, made a special report on overseas consular protection and assistance, and effectively improving the ability and level of provincial and municipal foreign affairs systems and relevant departments to carry out overseas consular protection work. On July 13, the Consular Protection Knowledge Roadshow was held in the main gate square of Beiling Park. For the general public, a publicity panel on consular protection knowledge was set up on the site, and interactive activities such as contests for consular protection knowledge and answers on consular protection knowledge were carried out to widely publicize overseas consular protection and assistance knowledge, and enhance citizens' awareness and recognition of consular protection work.

The activity also includes a variety of contents such as applying knowledge into enterprises, universities, communities and publicity exhibition of consular protection knowledge, making every effort to safeguard the safety and legitimate rights and interests of overseas personnel, effectively improving the overseas safety awareness and emergency response ability of "going out" personnel in Liaoning Province and Shenyang City, weaving a tight overseas safety protection network, and providing security guarantee for citizens of our city going abroad.
