On March 13, NAGAO Shigetoshi, Minister of the Japanese Embassy in China, led a delegation to Shenyang. Chen Shuangwei, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Shenyang Municipal People’s Government, met with the delegation and held talks on further deepening practical cooperation between Shenyang and Japan across multiple sectors.
Director Chen Shuangwei welcomed Minister NAGAO Shigetoshi and his delegation. He emphasized that in recent years, Shenyang has accelerated its development as an international central city in Northeast Asia, consistently enhanced the "Foreign Affairs+" initiative, steadfastly cultivated the "International Shenyang" brand, and vigorously sparked a global promotional wave for "Hello, Shenyang." By focusing on refining the open environment, fortifying open platforms, upgrading foreign affairs services, and scaling up investment attraction, the city has synergized its efforts in both inviting in and going global, thereby advancing high-quality development through high-standard opening-up. The city remains unwavering in creating a top-tier business environment marked by market-oriented principles, rule of law, and international standards, fully supporting the growth of foreign enterprises in Shenyang and attracting more international businesses to focus on, enter, and invest in the city. By leveraging its foreign affairs resources, networks, platforms, and policy strengths, Shenyang actively assists local high-quality enterprises in expanding globally, fosters international partnerships, and promotes "Shenyang Premium Products" to reach global markets. He proposed establishing more regular communication mechanisms with the Japanese Embassy in China and the Japanese Consulate General in Shenyang, facilitating friendship ties with additional Japanese cities, creating more platforms for economic collaboration, and unlocking mutual development opportunities.
Minister NAGAO Shigetoshi expressed gratitude to the Shenyang Foreign Affairs Office for its steadfast support to the Japanese Embassy, Consulate General, and Japanese enterprises in Shenyang. He affirmed his commitment to maintaining close coordination with the office to advance multifaceted exchanges and cooperation between Shenyang and Japan, delivering tangible outcomes across broader and deeper dimensions.
The delegation also inspected the Shenyang Vanke Sino-Japan Industrial Park, gaining detailed insights into its infrastructure, support services, tenant enterprises, and future development plans. Minister NAGAO praised the park’s accomplishments and innovative vision, pledging to actively promote the park to Japanese local governments and businesses to strengthen bilateral economic and trade collaboration.
