On January 31, the "Hello Shenyang" Global Promotion Event (Sapporo) was successfully held in Sapporo City, Japan, the "City of Snow and Ice". Representatives from the World Winter City and Sapporo City gathered together to renew friendship and seek common development.

The event was held during the 2024 WWCAM Working Level Officials Meeting. Chen Shuangwei, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Shenyang Municipal Government, introduced Shenyang's history and culture, industrial foundation, cultural and sports tourism resources, foreign exchanges and the construction of ice and snow projects, played the "Hello Shenyang" city promotional video, and presented the Shenyang city publicity album and the "Hello Shenyang" series of activity brochures to the guests.

Director Chen Shuangwei said that Shenyang has a long history and culture, a solid industrial foundation, rich cultural sports and tourism resources, and active foreign exchanges. Shenyang is a city suitable for living, working and traveling. At present, Shenyang is anchoring the overall goal of accelerating the construction of the national central city, and vigorously promoting the construction of the Northeast Asian international central city and the hub of open cooperation in Northeast Asia. Since last year, we have continued to strengthen the "Foreign Affairs +", made every effort to build an "International Shenyang", and successively carried out a series of global promotion activities of "Hello Shenyang", which has played a positive role in enhancing Shenyang's international image, expanding its international influence, and promoting foreign economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges. He also issued a "Hello, Shenyang" city appointment to the delegates, and welcomed them to pay attention to Shenyang, understand Shenyang, enter Shenyang, and realize dreams in Shenyang.

More than 60 participants participated in the event, including representatives from Sapporo, Chitose and Kagoshima cities in Japan, Rovaniemi in Finland, Hwacheon, Inje and Taebaek cities in South Korea, Sapporo City enterprises, Hokkaido University teachers and students, and Sapporo City citizens. The participants said that through the promotion event, they have deepened their understanding of Shenyang, and are willing to build a bridge and contribute to promoting friendly exchanges and cooperation with Shenyang.

This year, Shenyang will continue to carry out the "Hello, Shenyang" Global Promotion Event, to make every effort to promote the comprehensive upgrade of the "Hello, Shenyang" city brand, to show the world the good image of an "international Shenyang" which is more open, friendly, dynamic and modern, with a high level of openness and high-quality development to help our city accelerate the construction of the national central city and Northeast Asia's international central city to achieve new results, and to strive to showcase the charm of "International Shenyang" in the crucial year of three-year action of comprehensive revitalization and new breakthroughs, and make Shenyang the forerunner in Liaoning's construction of the "six positioning" in the new era.
