will kick off on January 1, 2025.

The 2025 Shenyang Spring Lantern Festival will be held at the Guandong Movie Town from January 1 to February 16, 2025. Except for being closed on the Spring Festival Eve, the lantern show will last a total of 46 days.

The lantern show features six themed zones: "New Year's Greetings from Stars", "Honor of Kings", "Exploring the Sanxingdui Ruins", "Secret Area of Journey to the West", "Snake Dances to Welcome Spring", and "Guandong Snowy Village".

This year's lantern show comprises 70 large lantern groups with over 50,000 featured lanterns. Especially, there are 15 of these groups, each exceeding 10 meters in height. The lantern show's scale, floor area and number of lanterns are the most ever.

This year's lantern show incorporates trendy cultural elements such as "Honor of Kings" and "Sanxingdui Ruins", which contrast finely with the classic tales from the Journey to the West. This shapes three distinctive exhibition zones that feature a powerful visual impact.

At the lantern show, the cartoon IP images of the legendary that two immortals Iron Crutch Li and Lyu Dongbin play chess on the Qipan Mountain will make debut, saluting to traditional Chinese classics. Additionally, the zone will be characterized with Guandong Snowy Village style, offering exciting snow and ice projects such as snow entertainment, ice entertainment and time-travel to snowy village.

Focusing on interactive experiences for tourists, this year's lantern show transforms the square of the central exhibition zone into an ocean of revelry. During the holidays, spectacular fireworks will burst alongside dances of the phoenix, and electronic music parties with professional DJs will be held, to provide tourists with a happy winter feast.

This year's lantern show cooperates with the Liaoning Sports Lottery Management Center for the first time, offering lottery giveaways alongside tickets, so that tourists have a chance to win a 1-million-yuan prize while admiring featured lanterns and playing with snow.
