On December 31, Tang Jupeng, Vice President of Shenyang University, and his delegation visited the Foreign Affairs Office of Shenyang Municipal People’s Government, and presented a banner of "Efficient Service Model", thanking the Shenyang Foreign Affairs Office for providing strong support and help for the Shenyang University delegation's official overseas visit to Saudi Arabia. Ye Hang, Deputy Director of Shenyang FAO, and relevant officials of the Division of Official Overseas Visit participated in the activity.

On November 5, the secretariat of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification invited Professor Zhao Yanzhi, President of Shenyang University, and hisgroup of three people to attend the 16th session of the Conference of the Parties of the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD COP16) held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on December 2, for the signing of cooperation documents. This meeting is of great significance for Shenyang University to carry out scientific research, technological transformation, social promotion and etc.

Shenyang FAO set up a special work team as soon as possible after learning about the difficulties of Shenyang University's visit to Saudi Arabia. Deputy Director Ye Hang personally coordinated relevant works. The Division of Official Overseas Visit actively contacted the Foreign Affairs Office of Liaoning Provincial People’s Governmentand coordinated with other competent departments to carry out various work simultaneously, and worked hard to reduce the processing time to ensure the smooth travel of the delegation. During the visit, President Zhao Yanzhi, on behalf of Shenyang University, signed a letter of intent withAndrea Meza Murillo, Deputy Executive secretary of UNCCD, and the two sides reached cooperation intentions in black soil carbon, desertification management and sustainable land use. The signing of this letter of intent marks the important progress made by Shenyang University in the field of soil management, while expanding the international reputation and influence of the university, and adding fruitful results to the construction of "International Shenyang".
