To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the establishment of friendship cities between Shenyang and Braga, from July 2nd to 6th, Shenyang U12 football team went to Braga, Portugal to participate in the 2025 BRAGA CUP- International Football Tournament.

Shenyang and Braga, Portugal became friendship cities in September 2020. To jointly celebrate the 5th anniversary of the establishment of friendship cities between Shenyang and Braga, at the invitation of the Braga Municipal Government of Portugal, the Foreign Affairs Office of the Municipal Government, in conjunction with the Municipal Bureau of Sports, organized and selected the U12 football team to represent Shenyang city in Portugal. As the only invited team from China, this trip to the BRAGA CUP was the first time for the players to go abroad to compete with European teams. The young football players from Shenyang successfully completed all the matches and achieved an impressive record of 3 wins and 2 losses. During the breaks of the competition, the players also visited sports facilities such as the Estádio do Dragão in Porto and participated in related experience activities, gained a lot. While accumulating competition experience, they further broadened their international horizons.

Braga is the third largest city in Portugal and the capital of Braga District, it is located in northern Portugal with a population of 180,000. The city's economy is dominated by industries such as construction, metallurgy, machinery, and information technology. The remains of religions building are abundant and is known as the "Rome of Portugal".
