According to Shenyang City Urban and Rural Construction Bureau on March 13, the construction of the Changqing Street Expressway is now going into operation. The expressway is expected to be completed and open to traffic by the end of this year.

Changqing Street Expressway project is a key project of Shenyang urban construction and it is an important part of the expressway system in the southeast of Shenyang. The project starts from the 1st Ring Road on the north and ends at Yinka Road on the south of Hunnan Avenue, with a total length of 5.4 kilometers.

The relevant person of Shenyang Expressway Construction Investment Co., Ltd. said that the construction of Changqing Street Expressway was divided into two steps: the first step: the construction of Changqing Bridge's new bridge started on November of 2017. The new bridge has opened to traffic on December 18 of 2018. The second step: Changqing Street Viaduct has came into operation on August 3of 2018. All work is scheduled to be completed and to open to traffic by the end of November of 2019. At that time, it will take only 4 minutes to drive from the eastern 1st Ring Road to Hunnan District.
