Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Shenyang Municipal Government held Shenyang, Hong Kong and Macao Work Forum on Apr.10. Representatives of Liaison Office of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government in Liaoning, Dalian Office of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Shenyang Representative Office of Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce of Liaoning Province and related Hong Kong-invested enterprises attended the meeting. 

Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Shenyang Municipal Government conveyed the recent important instructions and policies of the CPC Central Committee and the work of Hong Kong and Macao. It also held exchanges and discussions with the participants on strengthening "Foreign Affairs plus" and building an "International Shenyang", holding the "Hello Shenyang" global promotion event, the "The Eighth of The Belt and Road Forum", and the policy interpretation session of "Jointly Building the Chinese Dream and Writing Chapters of Revitalization". To further promote the high-quality development of Hong Kong and Macao work in our city.

Mr. Chen Shuangwei, Director of Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Shenyang Municipal Government, said that in recent years, Shenyang has continued to implement the strategy of "Deep Cultivation of Hong Kong and Macao", and to serve the economic and social development with high-quality work in Hong Kong and Macao. This year, we will further integrate the high-quality development of Hong Kong and Macao's work with the overall work of the country and the overall economic development of the city, continuously strengthen the "Hong Kong and Macao plus", firmly build an "International Shenyang", give full play to the advantages of "Hong Kong and Macao plus Platform plus Services plus Resources", expand channels of communication, conserve quality resources, and organize "Hello Shenyang" publicity and promotion activities. To enhance the international influence of self-owned brand activities, organize relevant municipal departments, associations and enterprises to participate in large-scale exhibitions and forums in Hong Kong and Macao, and comprehensively deepen the all-round cooperation between Shenyang, Hong Kong and Macao in various fields to achieve a new breakthrough and a new level.

In particular, last year, the two sides worked closely together to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, which was highly praised by all sectors of the society. The Liaison Office will continue to deepen the contact and cooperation with the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Offices of Shenyang Municipal Government, make every effort to hold the "Hong Kong and Shenyang Together for a Better Future" youth exchange activities between Shenyang and Hong Kong, and take advantage of the visit of Hong Kong civil servants, teenagers and other delegation groups to Shenyang to vigorously carry out patriotic education and inter-school cooperation and other forms of exchange activities with the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Offices of Shenyang Municipal Government.

Ms. Zhu Wei, Director of Shenyang Representative Office of Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, thanked Shenyang Municipal Government and Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office for their strong support to the work of the Institute. In particular, during the special period of the epidemic, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office actively organized Shenyang enterprises to participate in the exhibition in Macao and provided strong support for the diversified development of Macao with the convention and exhibition industry as the center. Macao has preferential policies and development potential in the upgrading of the convention and exhibition industry, registration of Chinese patent medicine and product marketing. Macao will actively deepen practical cooperation between the two places in related fields, and actively promote the "Macao Vitality Week" and other activities to be held in Shenyang.
