From October 29 to November 5, at the invitation of Shenyang People’s Association for Foreign Friendship with Foreign Countries, Sunbeam Puppet Theater from Békéscsaba City of County Rank of Hungary, visited Shenyang. The visit is a cultural exchange project agreed upon after the two cities established friendly cooperative relationship in October last year. Sunbeam Puppet Theater performed in No. 9 Primary School in Hunnan District and No. 2 Primary School on Erjing Street Shenhe District. The group exchanged and learned the performing arts with Dance School of Shenyang Conservatory of Music and School of Drama Art of Shenyang Normal University. The group also visited cultural venues in our city such as Liaoning Provincial Museum, Shenyang Imperial Palace, China Industry Museum, and 1905 Cultural and Creative Park.

Only through inclusive coexistence, equal exchange, and mutual learning among different civilizations can we create a beautiful world of lasting peace and common prosperity. The visit of Sunbeam Puppet Theater not only opened up a grand cultural exchange between Shenyang and Békéscsaba, but also planted beautiful seeds in the hearts of children, which will surely bloom the flower of friendship and bear fruitful results.

Zoltán Lenkefi, head of Sunbeam Puppet Theater, said that his visit gave him a close and deep experience of Chinese culture and left a deep impression on him. He is willing to be a friendly ambassador for cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and Hungary, so that more people can know about Shenyang and China. After returning to Hungary, he will actively introduce Hungarian art universities to Shenyang universities to carry out exchanges and cooperation, and promote mutual learning and common development in the field of culture and art between China and Hungary.
