On April 19, the Shenyang-Japan Industrial Cooperation Symposium and "Hello, Shenyang" Global Promotion Event (Tokyo) was successfully held in Tokyo, Japan. The event comprehensively promoted and displayed the new appearance of Shenyang's city, cultural and tourism resources and cooperation opportunities for Japanese friendly cities, business associations, enterprises, etc., built more new platforms for economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges, further promoted industrial complementarity, personnel interaction, resource exchange and win-win cooperation between Shenyang and Japan, and enhanced deeper exchange and cooperation in a wider scope and in wider fields between Shenyang and Japan.

The Municipal Commerce Bureau introduced the latest trend of Shenyang's economic development, the key directions of economic and trade cooperation and preferential policies for attracting investment; the Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism promoted the beauty of Shenyang with different features in four distinctive seasons; Hunnan District presented the location advantages, the development vitality, the famous enterprises cluster, the international business environment and the China-Japan Industrial Park; Neusoft Group, Siasun Robot, Lawson, and Seiko shared the internationalization process of enterprises and a new space for future cooperation around elder care, intelligent manufacturing, modern service industry, etc.; Luo Xiaomei, Economic and Business Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Japan, Tsutomu Takebe, former Secretary General of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, Honorary Citizen of Shenyang, and President of the East Asia General Research Representative Council of the Japan Public Welfare Foundation, Toyoki Oka, General Secretary of JCIPO, and Ma Xiaoping, Chairman of the Japan-China Economic and Cultural Exchange Center, successively delivered speeches, recognizing the fruitful results of exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade and culture over the years and expressing their firm confidence and strong desire to promote the in-depth cooperation between Shenyang and Japan under the new situation. The leader of Shenyang Municipal Government said in his speech that “Shenyang and Japan have broad prospects and great potential for industrial cooperation. We are willing to take this event as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperation in advanced manufacturing, scientific and technological innovation, medical health care, ice and snow sports and other fields to achieve win-win development.”

More than 100 representatives from friendly cities of Sapporo, Kawasaki, Hamamatsu, Sasebo, institutions and business associations such as JCIPO, JETRO, and Japan-China Economic and Cultural Exchange Center, enterprises including world Fortune 500 such as Panasonic, Mitsubishi Electric, Seiko, Lawson, Earth Support, Marubeni, Mitsubishi Corporation, Itochu, Sumitomo, Sumitomo Mitsui Bank, Mizuho Bank, MUFG Bank, Hitachi Zosen and Sompo Japan Insurance, participated in the event.

Since last year, Shenyang City has carried out a series of high quality "Hello, Shenyang" global promotion events, showing the image of "International Shenyang" in all dimensions, which has played a positive role in attracting investment, deepening economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges, and enhancing Shenyang's international influence.
