On July 16th, Vice Secretary of the CPC Shenyang Municipal Committee and Mayor Lyu Zhicheng met with Belgian Ambassador to China ‌H.E. Bruno Angelet and his delegation.

Lyu Zhicheng welcomes the visit of ‌H.E. Bruno Angelet and his delegation to Shenyang, stating that Shenyang is the central city in Northeast China, an advanced equipment manufacturing base, and national historical and cultural city, with unique geographical advantages, strong industrial foundation, abundant scientific and educational resources and broad development prospects. Currently, Shenyang is deeply implementing the guiding principles of the important speeches made by President Xi Jinping on promoting the full revitalization of Northeast China and Liaoning, focusing on building itself into a national central city, fully implementing the three-year action plan for comprehensive revitalization and new breakthroughs, vigorously building“one hub and four centers”, and accelerating the development as new frontiers in opening up. Shenyang has a long-term and friendly cooperative relationship with various sectors of Belgium, and especially has great potential for cooperation  in the fields of machinery manufacturing, biomedicine, food processing, culture, tourism, talent exchange, logistics and transportation. It is hoped to further push exchanges and cooperation with various sectors of Belgium to wider fields and a higher level. More Belgian enterprises are welcomed to invest and start business in Shenyang. Shenyang will continue to create a first-class business environment, provide high-quality services throughout the entire cycle, and create favorable conditions for the development of enterprises in Shenyang.

H.E. Bruno Angelet stated that he would actively play the role of bridge to enhance mutual understanding between various sectors of Belgium and Shenyang, promote economic and trade exchanges and practical cooperation, and achieve mutually beneficial and win-win development.
