2022年9月28日，沈阳市政府外事办公室、沈阳市人民对外友好协会在沈阳市新民福源食品有限公司举办沈阳——卡拉奇友好城市救灾物资捐赠仪式。捐赠仪式上，市红十字会、盼盼食品有限公司向辽宁省对外友好协会交接了捐赠物资，包括市红十字会捐赠的价值40万元的帐篷和盼盼食品有限公司捐赠的价值30余万元的食品。这些援助物资将通过巴基斯坦驻华大使馆运至卡拉奇市。

近期，巴基斯坦全国各地发生严重洪涝灾害，造成重大人员伤亡和财产损失。作为卡拉奇的友好城市，沈阳市第一时间做出反应，竭尽所能提供帮助，并得到了我市公益组织、爱心企业和社会各界的积极响应。截至目前，共募集到包括食品和帐篷在内价值70余万元的援助物资。这批物资将在市政府外办和市对外友协的组织下运到卡拉奇市。多年来，沈阳市红十字会一直积极参与自然灾害与社会公共事件的救助工作，传播了人道主义精神，促进了社会的文明与和谐。“希望通过这次捐助，能够帮助巴基斯坦人民早日战胜灾难，重建家园。”市红十字会相关负责人说。盼盼食品有限公司执行董事蔡文良表示，盼盼食品有限公司作为农业产业化龙头企业，将积极履行社会责任，把爱心和温暖传递给需要帮助的国际友人，以实际行动践行民营企业家奉献担当精神。

Donation Ceremony of Disaster Relief Materials for Sister City Karachi, Pakistan by Shenyang, China was held in Shenyang

On September 28, 2022, Foreign Affairs Office of Shenyang Municipal Government and Shenyang People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries held a donation ceremony of disaster relief materials for Shenyang’s sister city Karachi in Shenyang Xinmin Fuyuan Foods Co., Ltd. At the donation ceremony, the Municipal Red Cross Society and Panpan Foods Co., Ltd. handed over donated items to Liaoning People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign countries, including tents worth RMB 400,000 donated by the municipal Red Cross Society and food worth more than RMB 300,000 donated by Panpan Foods Co., Ltd. These aid items will be transported to Karachi through the Pakistani Embassy in China.

Recently, serious floods have occurred throughout Pakistan, causing heavy casualties and property losses. As a sister city of Karachi, Shenyang wasted no time in responding to it, did its best to help, and has received positive responses from public welfare organizations, caring enterprises and all walks of life in the city. So far, more than RMB700,000 worth of aid items, including food and tents, have been raised. The aid will be transported to Karachi under the organization of Shenyang Foreign Affairs Office and Shenyang People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. Over the years, Shenyang Red Cross Society has actively involved in the relief work against natural disasters and social public events, spreading the humanitarian spirit and promoting social civilization and harmony. "It is hoped that this donation can help the Pakistani people overcome the disaster and rebuild their homes as soon as possible." A relevant person in charge from the Red Cross Society said. Cai Wenliang, executive director of Panpan Foods Co., Ltd., said that as a leading enterprise in agricultural industrialization, Panpan Foods Co., Ltd. will actively fulfill its social responsibilities, pass on its love and warmth to foreign friends in need, and practice the spirit of dedication and responsibility of private entrepreneurs with practical actions.

Karachi is a sister city of Shenyang.
