The 10th International Mulan Boxing Competition will be held in Shanghai from October 19 to 23.The 100-player team from Shenyang Mulan Boxing Club set off from Shenyang to Shanghai to attend this competition yesterday.Zhao Yuling, principal of the club, told the reporter:"Among all the teams participating this competition, both at home and from abroad, our team has the most players. We won 5 gold medals in the competition last year. And in this year, we will not only compete for the gold medals, but will also give excellent performance at the opening ceremony."

International Mulan Boxing Competition is held every two years. It's the 10th time to host this competition.Shenyang Mulan Boxing Club has been founded for 22 years and owns over one thousand members. Zhao Yuling said:"6 competition events including 28-style, 38-style and 48-style will be held in this year's game. The competition is conducted according to different age groups. We Shenyang Mulan Boxing Club sent a 100-player team made up of 9 groups to Shanghai this time. These player can participate in all competition events for all age groups. Besides, we will also give performance at the opening ceremony."

According to Zhao Yuling, Mulan boxing is the fitness boxing which combines the vigorous of Chinese martial arts and the flexibility of modern aerobic. It is a brand new boxing which blends the essential techniques of Tai Chi, Qigong, attack and defense, aerobic and stage art. It has positive therapeutic effect and preventive effect to waist, leg, joints, heart and insomnia.Practice has proven that Mulan boxing has more significant effect to the health of middle aged and elderly women.
