"Hello, Shenyang" Global Promotion Event (Rome) Successfully Held in Italy

On October 16, 2025, the "Hello, Shenyang" Global Promotion Event was successfully held in Rome, the capital of Italy. Shenyang Municipal Friendship Economic and Trade Delegation gathered with representatives from Italian enterprises, business associations, and chambers of commerce in the "Eternal City." Together, they recalled the traditional friendship, discussed plans for cooperation, and jointly charted a new blueprint for exchange and collaboration between Shenyang and Italy.

The event was hosted by Shenyang Municipal People's Government, and co-organized by Foreign Affairs Office of Shenyang Municipal People's Government, Shenyang Municipal Commerce Bureau, the People’s Government of Heping District, and Shenyang Aomei Sports Culture & Media Co., Ltd. Representatives from numerous Italian enterprises and institutions, including MORANDINI Forging S.r.l., Sirton Pharmaceutical S.r.l., Trench Italy, and the Italian Northeastern Chamber of Commerce, gathered together to conduct in-depth matchmaking focusing on key sectors such as equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, and power equipment.

During the event, Shenyang Municipal Commerce Bureau delivered a comprehensive presentation on the new development opportunities for Shenyang in building itself into an international central city in Northeast Asia, highlighting aspects such as its hub empowerment, industrial foundation, open platforms, and innovation resources. Riccardo Motta, Marketing Director of MORANDINI Forging S.r.l; Nelson Fernandes, General Manager of Sirton Pharmaceutical S.r.l.; and Matteo Garra, CEO of Trench Italy, delivered speeches respectively. They expressed high recognition of the Shenyang market and a strong willingness to deepen cooperation, unanimously agreeing that Shenyang boasts a solid industrial foundation, a strong innovative atmosphere, and a superior business environment, making it an ideal partner for Italian enterprises to expand into the Chinese and even Northeast Asian markets.

In his speech, Lyu Zhicheng, Deputy Secretary of CPC Shenyang Municipal Committee and Mayor of Shenyang, pointed out that Shenyang is firmly anchored to the overall goal of building itself into an international central city in Northeast Asia, and is making all-out efforts to build "One Hub, Four Centers," continuously enhancing the city's internationalization level and comprehensive competitiveness. He emphasized that this year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy, and also the 40th anniversary of Shenyang and Turin becoming sister cities. Over the past 40 years, the two sides have progressed from friendly exchanges to practical cooperation, from people-to-people contacts to industrial synergy, forging a profound friendship and achieving fruitful results. Today, cumulatively, more than 50 Italian enterprises are thriving in Shenyang, the annual import-export trade volume between the two sides exceeds 1.3 billion RMB, and cooperation in fields such as aviation, power equipment, and biomedicine has taken new steps. Lyu Zhicheng stated that we are willing to take this event as an opportunity, uphold the time-honored Silk Road spirit, strive to be the "Marco Polo" of the new era, deepen potential in trade and investment, scientific and technological innovation, and other areas, and promote practical cooperation to advance on a larger scale, in broader fields, and at a higher level.

During the signing session, Shenyang DG Power Technology Group Co., Ltd. signed a special steel cooperation project with MORANDINI Forging S.r.l., and Trench Electric (Shenyang) Co., Ltd. reached a technology cooperation agreement with Trench Italy. The successful signing of these projects marks substantive steps in cooperation between Shenyang and Italy in fields such as high-end manufacturing, power equipment, and biomedicine.

Since 2023, Shenyang City has continuously carried out the "Hello, Shenyang" global promotion events, fully showcasing the open image and vitality of "International Shenyang." Next, Shenyang will continue to optimize its open environment, build high-level platforms, enhance service levels for foreign-related affairs, accelerate the construction of itself into an international central city in Northeast Asia, tell the Shenyang story well, spread the Shenyang voice, and welcome more international friends to learn about Shenyang, visit Shenyang, invest in Shenyang, and fulfill their dreams in Shenyang.
