Shenyang FAO Holds Working Talks with the British Embassy in China

On October 29, Guo Hongyan, Deputy Director of Shenyang Foreign Affairs Office, held working talks with Chris Butland, Head of North China Outreach of the British Embassy in China, and his delegation. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on further deepening pragmatic cooperation between Shenyang and the UK in multiple fields.

Deputy Director Guo Hongyan welcomed Chris Butland and his delegation to Shenyang, and introduced the achievements of Shenyang's economic and social development in recent years as well as the highlights of the city's foreign affairs work. He stated that Shenyang has maintained close exchanges with the UK, especially with its sister city Belfast. It is hoped that with the support of the British Embassy, the breadth and depth of cooperation between the two sides in areas such as economic and trade cooperation, high-level mutual visits, and sister-city exchanges will be further expanded, so as to push the friendly relations between the two sides to a new level.

Chris Butland said that during this visit to Shenyang, he fully felt the city's development vitality and international atmosphere. In the future, efforts will be made to further strengthen exchanges, actively plan cooperation projects in fields including vocational education, medical and health care, and digital economy, and continuously promote pragmatic cooperation at the local level to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results.
