Recently, the promotion competition of innovative application scenarios for digital transformation of state-owned enterprises in Shenyang came to a conclusion. The carbon credit platform of Shenyang Metro stood out in the fierce competition and won the third prize in the digital exploration category. With its innovative business model and remarkable practical achievements, the platform was successfully included in the "China Digital Development and Research Case Library", achieving a double harvest of honor and influence.
As the first city-level metro carbon credit smart welfare platfrom in the country, Shenyang Metro's platform operates based on the core model of "accumulating carbon credits by metro mileage and redeeming 'discounted products for food, drink, entertainment and leisure' with the credits". It adopts a unique "online plus offline" integrated digital operation system: Shengjingtong APP and Shengjingtong WeChat mini-program provide online services, while offline services are provided via "carbon credit interactive screens" at 30 popular metro stations including Qingniandajie Station, Shenyangzhan Station, Dongzhongjie Station and Gongyezhanlanguan Station. This achieves full coverage of users in all scenarios.
Through the effective interaction among the metro, merchants and passengers, a complete commercial loop of "green travel — points acquisition — consumption conversion" has been established, pioneering a sustainable carbon benefit path that does not rely on government subsidies and is "sustained by business for green development".
