The first Nobel Prize laboratory project in Liaoning Province has settled in Shenyang.
On January 20, the first Nobel Prize laboratory project in Liaoning Province was signed to settle in the Hunnan Science and Technology City.Konstantin Novoselov, Nobel laureate in Physics in 2010, a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a professor of the National University of Singapore, along with Cheng Huiming, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and his team members, attended the signing ceremony.
The full name of this Nobel Prize laboratory project is the Konstantin Two-dimensional Materials Research Center Project. It is led by Dr. Konstantin Novoselov and his team members. The laboratory aims to establish an internationally leading two-dimensional materials and transformative technology practice laboratory in the Hunnan Science and Technology City in Shenyang, focusing on tackling core challenges in the fundamental research on two-dimensional materials and the industrialization process of transformative technological products.
According to the agreement signed this time, both parties will engage in deep collaborative cooperation around key dimensions such as industrial ecosystem cultivation and talent exchange and training. Together, they aim to explore the full chain development for two-dimensional materials, from fundamental research to industrial application, injecting strong new momentum into the high-quality development of the regional economy. The laboratory will center on platform construction and plan to introduce and cultivate 300 high-level scientific and technological talents, gathering global top-tier research forces to jointly promote innovation and breakthroughs in the field of two-dimensional materials science.
