On June 19, the 2nd Shenyang Metropolitan Area Rural Health Run Event & the 3rd Village Run in Shaojia Village Liaozhong District 2026, with the theme of "Super Cool in Northeast China, Joyful Run in Liaozhong", was successfully held in Shaojia Village, Panjiapu Town, Liaozhong District. At the invitation of the Liaoning Provincial and Shenyang Municipal Foreign Affairs Offices, over 30 foreign participants attended the event, including Mr. William Coleman, U.S. Consul General in Shenyang, consular officials from the Republic of Korea, Russia and other countries, as well as international students from Pakistan, Tanzania, South Sudan, Gabon and many other nations.

Guided by Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television, Shenyang Foreign Affairs Office, Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Sports, the CPC Liaozhong District Committee and People’s Government of Liaozhong District, the event was hosted by the Publicity Department of the CPC Liaozhong District Committee, the New Era Civilization Practice Center, Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Radio and Television and Foreign Affairs Office of Liaozhong District. Nearly 2,000 people joined the activity, consisting of professional running clubs, consular officials, international students and local villagers. Winding through rice paddy paths, watching farming performances and tasting local snacks, consular officials and international students fully experienced the achievements of beautiful countryside development brought by the city’s distinctive agricultural growth and integrated development of culture, sports, tourism and business sectors, lending an international flair to the village fun run.

This year, the Liaoning provincial and Shenyang municipal foreign affairs offices will also organize a series of field visits including the "Consular Officials’ Tour", "Travel Freely in Liaoning" and "Foreign Friends Discover Shenyang". Foreign guests will experience a wide range of scenarios covering transportation, medical care, education, investment and business development, as well as integrated development of culture, sports, tourism and commerce so that more foreigners will discover the beauty of Liaoning and experience the charm of Shenyang.
