At the invitation of the Shenyang People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (Shenyang PAFFC), a delegation from Deutsch-Chinesische Gesellschaft Südbaden (DCGS), led by President Jürgen G. Eberbach, visited Shenyang from June 17 to 23. During the visit, the delegation toured a number of local schools and cultural organizations, took part in the "2026 Sino-European Culture Tourism Food and Wine Fair", and reached several cooperation agreements.

At Shenyang Huimin Middle School and Shenhe District's Wenhua Road Primary School, the delegation observed student club activities ranging from calligraphy, football and Peking Opera to dance, and spoke with teachers and students on site. The Association signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Wenhua Road Primary School, under which a Shenyang delegation of teachers and students is planned to visit South Baden for exchange. At the Shenyang International Economic and Cultural Development Promotion Association, the two sides held talks and signed a Letter of Intent, agreeing to co-host a traditional Chinese art exhibition in South Baden next year. During the "2026 Sino-European Culture Tourism Food and Wine Fair", DCGS and the German wineries it invited held in-depth matchmaking sessions with Shenyang wine distributors, laying the groundwork for closer cooperation in wine trade and related fields.

During the visit, Sun Ye, President of Shenyang PAFFC, and Liu Zhenning, Full-time Vice President, met with President Eberbach for an in-depth discussion on expanding Shenyang–Germany exchanges. Eberbach noted that the visit was substantive and productive, and said DCGS would work with Shenyang PAFFC to follow through on the outcomes reached and deepen multi-sector collaboration between Shenyang and South Baden.

DCGS is a non-profit cultural organization based in the southern part of Baden-Württemberg, dedicated to fostering non-governmental exchanges between China and Germany in education, culture, business and youth engagement. In November 2025, DCGS and Shenyang PAFFC signed an agreement establishing friendly cooperative relations.
