2026 Sino-European Culture, Tourism, Food & Wine Fair Successfully Held in Shenyang

The 2026 Sino-European Culture, Tourism, Food & Wine Fair took place at Pier 9, Hunnan District recently. Co-organized by the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China Shenyang Chapter, Shenyang Municipal People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Hunnan District Government, the event held its opening ceremony attended by Liu Kebin, Vice Mayor of Shenyang, Jorge Toledo Albiñana, Ambassador of the European Union to China, Wolf Dietrich Heim, Ambassador of Austria to China, and Annette Sévery, German Consul General in Shenyang, among other distinguished guests.During the event, Vice Mayor Liu Kebin stated that European countries stand as key partners of Shenyang. Booming exchanges have been witnessed in economic and trade connectivity, cultural integration as well as tourism links. Shenyang will keep fostering a world-class international business environment, fully support Chinese and European enterprises to thrive locally, and jointly embrace a mutually beneficial and promising future. Ambassador Jorge Toledo Albiñana shared that he was deeply impressed by Shenyang’s profound historical heritage, outstanding industrial strength and the concentration of European enterprises based here. He expressed confidence that the festival would further deepen China-Europe friendship, boost people-to-people exchanges, and advance win-win cooperation in culture, tourism, trade and economy. Ambassador Wolf Dietrich Heim noted that Austria values its long-standing friendly ties with China, with culture, tourism, food and wine serving as vital bonds connecting peoples of the two nations.The festival featured themed sessions including business and cultural exchanges, Sino-European artistic performances, food and wine tastings, as well as interactive experience zones. A total of 43 domestic and overseas enterprises covering food processing, wine exhibition and sales, intangible cultural heritage creative products, tourism supporting services and other sectors participated in the event. Integrated with the Hunhe Riverside Market and Bar Street in Hunnan, the festival greatly enriched urban consumption scenarios in Shenyang during the event period, effectively turning event popularity into additional economic benefits.
