On July 22, Sun Ye, Secretary of the Leading Party Members Group and Director of the Foreign Affairs Office, led a working group to conduct on-site research at Michelin Shenyang and Sany Heavy Equipment. The group gained an in-depth understanding of the overseas business development of the enterprises and delivered foreign affairs services directly to the enterprises.

Founded in 1995, Michelin Shenyang is the first investment project of Michelin Group in China. Currently serving as the Group’s world-largest manufacturing base for high-end passenger vehicle tires, it has been awarded numerous honors including Global Lighthouse Factory, National Green Factory and National Excellent Smart Factory. In recent years, the enterprise has maintained steady output growth and outstanding operating benefits, standing as a key player in Shenyang’s automotive industrial chain. The working group toured the enterprise’s intelligent exhibition hall and held discussions with senior management personnel, learning in detail about its digital production, green manufacturing, overseas layout plans as well as demands for foreign-related services.

Sany Heavy Equipment specializes in complete sets of mining excavation equipment. It has long ranked top in China’s domestic market share for roadheaders, with its products exported to more than 20 countries and regions worldwide. Equipped with a national-level technology research and development platform, it is a key enterprise in Shenyang engaging in high-end equipment exports. The working group conducted on-site inspections of the exhibition hall and production workshops, and had in-depth exchanges with the enterprise’s leaders focus on empowering enterprises with foreign affairs to expand overseas markets.The team also learned about the enterprise’s practical needs concerning visa application processing and consular protection services.

Director Sun Ye stated that the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office has always been committed to being the Chief Service Officer for enterprises. Adhering to the work philosophy of "delivering policies, providing services, facilitating cooperation and resolving difficulties", the office provides solid safeguards for foreign-invested enterprises to develop long-term businesses in Shenyang and local enterprises to go global efficiently. The office will fully utilize resources including friendship cities, overseas embassies and consulates of China, as well as international chambers of commerce and associations, further advancing the integrated development model of "foreign affairs plus economy and trade". Centering on the practical demands put forward by Michelin and Sany Heavy Equipment, targeted foreign affairs support will be provided, covering visits by foreign delegations, outbound personnel visas, overseas compliant operation, policy interpretation and overseas consular protection services. Through efficient and pragmatic services, the office will bolster Shenyang’s development into an international centrual city in Northeast Asia.

Leaders of the two enterprises both remarked that they will make full use of foreign affairs channels and resources to seize opportunities in the international market, jointly injecting robust momentum into high-level opening-up and high-quality development of Shenyang.
