The three major telecom operators, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom, held 5G commercialization events in Shenyang this morning and rolled out their 5G data plans. This means that 5G has officially entered the commercial phase. 

Mobile Phones and Data Plans

China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom launched the 5G free experience plan and opened 5G commercial plan booking. The reservation customers of China Mobile who order the unified 5G data plan within 3 months after the date of receiving the discount, will enjoy the 5G data plan discount for 6 consecutive months. In the first 6 months, customers with net-age of 5 years or above can enjoy a 30 percent discount, and users with net-age of fewer than 5 years can enjoy a 20 percent discount. The customers of China Unicom and China Telecom with net-age of 3 years or above can enjoy a 30 percent discount. So far, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom have more than 10 million 5G commercial services reservation subscribers. 

In terms of mobile phone terminals, Huawei Mate30 series 5G version will be officially put on sale in Shenyang on November 1. 

Huawei Mate20 X 5G version, Vivo NEX 3 5G version, iQOO Pro 5G version, Xiaomi 9 Pro 5G, SAMSUNG Note10+ 5G version, ZTE Axon 10 Pro 5G version and other 5G terminals have all gone on sale. After the operator subsidy, the minimum price of 5G phones will reach around 3,000 RMB Yuan.
