The Satellite Environment Application Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment and unveiled the "Shenyang Remote Sensing Application Base".
This base is the first municipal-level remote sensing application base established by the Satellite Environment Application Center of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment in the Northeast China, marking a new stage in the cooperation between the two sides in the field of ecological and environmental protection. It will provide cutting-edge technical support for Shenyang to promote precise governance and intelligent supervision.
In recent years, Shenyang has achieved remarkable results in the governance of air, water and soil pollution and the ecological protection. This cooperation will further deepen the collaboration mechanism between the two sides in data sharing, technology synergy and talent cultivation. Relying on the ecological protection red line supervision platform and the satellite remote sensing technology, it will focus on enhancing the capacity for long-term problem identification and governance in areas such as water environmental governance and solid waste supervision.
In the future, the two sides will also explore innovative paths of multi-disciplinary integration in areas such as data sharing, project co-research and platform co-construction, continuously injecting scientific and technological impetus into the modernization of the ecological environment governance system and governance capacity in Shenyang.
