The number of tax-free stores registered in Shenyang has increased from 34 to 308 since the new departure tax refund policy was implemented in April this year. The 308 tax-free stores are distributed across major commercial areas, scenic areas and other hot shopping locations. The number of overseas tourists who processed departure tax refunds in Shenyang increased by ‌183% year-on-year‌.

The tax-free goods in Shenyang cover over 10 categories, including clothing, and cultural and creative products, with thousands of items. These, combined with the expanding range of renowned Chinese consumer products and "time-honored" products, offer overseas tourists with a rich selection.‌

The data shows that from January to October this year, the number of overseas tourists who processed departure tax refund in Shenyang increased by ‌183% year-on-year‌, the tax refund amount surged by ‌301%‌, and the sales volume of tax-free stores grew by ‌256%‌.
