Shenyang International Life and Health City welcomes new innovative force.

The establishment ceremony of Medicine-Engineering Interdisciplinary Innovative Research Institute of Shenyang University of Technology (SUT) was held on April 20.

The SUT Medicine-Engineering Interdisciplinary Innovative Research Institute leverages the SUT's disciplinary strengths to closely align with the arrangements of Liaoning province's 15th Five-Year Plan for expanding and strengthening strategic emerging industries including high-end medical equipment.Adopting a dual-driven development model led by clinical medical demands and engineering technological innovation, the institute establishes a new mechanism for in-depth integration of industry, academia, research and medical treatment.It serves as a major scientific innovation platform facilitating the whole-chain extension of medical-engineering interdisciplinary research into clinical application and industrial transformation, as well as another key pillar to support the collaborative development of industry, academia, research and application within the Shenyang International Life and Health City.

The institute will foster domestically leading distinctive advantages in the fields of intelligent medical equipment, electromagnetic medical technology and welfare robots, and build a core hub for medical-engineering interdisciplinary technological innovation and talent cultivation in Northeast China.
